SagePlan ("SagePlan," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website at sageplan.co (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

SagePlan is an independent tool that helps prospective and current Western Governors University ("WGU") students visualize and plan their degree. SagePlan is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or otherwise connected to WGU, Study.com, Sophia Learning, or any other third party referenced on the Service. All course codes and program names are used for identification and planning purposes only. You can reach us at privacy@sageplan.co.

You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, and irrevocable license to use, host, store, reproduce, analyze, modify, create derivative works from, communicate, publish, and distribute the information you provide or that is collected through the Service for the purposes below. We do not sell information that directly identifies you to third parties for their independent advertising purposes.

5. Email and SMS marketing

If you opt in, we may send you marketing emails and/or SMS text messages about SagePlan and other products or services we think you may be interested in. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply for SMS. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any marketing email, and stop SMS by replying STOP to any message. Transactional messages (account, billing, security) are not marketing and will continue as long as you have an account.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Aggregated or de-identified data may be retained indefinitely.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (including encryption in transit and access controls on Firebase) to protect your information. No system is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA/UK) and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.

We process information in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and other countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as your country of residence.

The Service may link to third-party sites (e.g., WGU, Study.com, Sophia). We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their privacy policies before using them.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date and, where required by law, additional notice. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
